SERVICES

New Hope Foundation's highly focused programs address the needs common to individuals who are battling poverty. Although we routinely explore new programs and services to implement as the foundation continues to grow, our current focus is three-fold: the Empowerment Center, Elves in Disguise, and the 1000 Coats for Hope Project. Our Empowerment Center, located in Dallas at 2200 Zang Blvd, is the home base for our seniors programs and our immediate needs and family focus programs.

Life Skills Programs:

The Empowerment Center offers various licenses and certifications, GED classes and self-improvement opportunities. Additional services and programs may be considered as needs change or as opportunities are presented. The Empowerment Center may also be available to educational institutions that offer programs and services that fit New Hope Foundation's mission.

Educational Programs & Scholarships:

Scholarships are awarded to selected family leaders who have demonstrated a strong drive and willingness to break the cycle of poverty and improve their family's place in the community, as well as to be an active contributor to their community.

Seniors Programs:

New Hope Foundation realizes that seniors are often the ones younger family members turn to in a crisis, a trend that seems more prevalent amongst the poor. Therefore, it is important that the needs of those 62 and older remain at the forefront of our foundation's efforts. If you are an elderly adult in need of social services, education, training, or simply a community of supporters, New Hope Foundation may have what you seek. You are never too old for New Hope.

Immediate Needs Program:

New Hope Foundation recognizes that the key to breaking the cycle of poverty starts with meeting the most basic needs of shelter, nutrition, and clothing. Our 1000 Coats for Hope Project is an annual drive dedicated to taking up where the Empowerment Center leaves off. We collect new and gently used coats, winter outerwear, and blankets and distribute them free upon request.

Family Focus Programs:

New Hope Foundation assists motivated families who have shown the willingness and the drive to improve their families' futures. Currently, Elves in Disguise is the foundation's primary family focus program. The Elves in Disguise program is in its 12th year and has changed the lives of as many families. This holiday program provides a fresh start and new hope by cleaning, repairing, and decorating a family's home. Short-term and long-term needs are met, including educational needs, and several mentors work with the family after the event to assist with continued progress.
